Set Your Requirements Policy

Decide which criteria renters need to meet in order to become your tenants.

As long as a unit has a requirements policy attached to it renters will have to demonstrate that they meet these requirements before applying. This means that you should only review applicants who already meet your requirements.

You can set your tenant requirements policy in two ways: at the global level or at the unit level.

Set global requirements

To set up a policy for all of your units at once:

  1. Navigate to Applications Settings
  2. Choose your preferred requirements and verification methods

Set unit requirements

To set a different policy for a single unit:

  1. Select the Units tab on the left-hand navigation menu.
  2. Choose the address of the property
  3. Select Update Requirements from the overflow menu (•••) on the top right of the Unit Overview
  4. Turn off the toggle that says Use portfolio settings
  5. Choose your preferred requirements and verification methods

Choosing verification methods

Each requirement needs to have a preferred verification method attached to it. Click the link at the top right of the requirement you're currently adjusting to choose your preferred verification method(s).

In the below example, the documents that should be submitted in order to verify the income requirement are being selected:
