Creating an Issue

Create an issue that you want Caretaker to resolve or track.


An issue can be created in two ways: as part of an inspection report or as an individual issue. Either way, the issue will get resolved in the same way that an issue reported by one of your tenants is resolved.


Creating an issue

  1. In the Dashboard, click Create issue
  2. Choose the address of the property with the issue.
  3. Select the Service type. This is the type of provider that, to the best of your knowledge, would be needed to resolve the issue.
  4. Enter a Description of the issue.
  5. (Optional) Select Upload a photo to select files from your computer or drag files into the photo upload box. or multiple photos of the issue.
  6. Submit your issue.

Creating an inspection with multiple issues

  1. In the Dashboard, choose the unit that you want to create an inspection for.
  2. Click the Overflow menu (•••) at the top of the page and Select Create inspection
  3. Ignore the parts of the property without issues that you want to report. In the first part of the property with an issue, check the box that says Do you want to report an issue in this room?
  4. Click Add an issue
  5. Enter a Description of the issue.
  6. (Optional) Select Upload a photo to select files from your computer or drag files into the photo upload box. or multiple photos of the issue.
  7. Submit your issue. Do the same for each room with an issue that you would like to add.
